In the chambers of our hearts and minds, we each have a "hall of fame"
in which we place the memories and experiences we have quitely
cherished on the path of life. In my artistic director's hall of fame,
I have a place for those GGBC families and boys who have held fast to
the end, completing the singers program of Apprentice, Minnesinger and
Master Singer, and who then apply what they have learned in
Ringbearers, Ringleaders and Ringmasters. I know as well as these
parents and boys both the sacrifices involved, and the rewards earned.
It is, a path less traveled, but provides a reward for a lifetime.
Among those in that small but prestigious circle of families and boys,
a front row seat is certainly reserved for our trio of present
graduates as Master Singers. Bray Mc Donnell, Forrest Nolan and
Anthony Ford came to the GGBC program together and it was my strong
wish to have them graduate together as well. We thank the boys, their
families and their parents for sharing these boys with us. Each boy
has contributed much toward the success of other boys, our concerts and
our program. They have learned well the motto, "All for one and One
for all," attributed to William Tell. And, I hope, they also recognize
a deeper motivation, "whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren,
that you do unto me," the biblical formula of the Golden Rule.
